Problem Set #2 will be comprised of the following exercises that are presented in the template.
Part – 1 – Project Charter Decision Matrix Exercise
This exercise is based upon the TriHealth matrix provided on page 64 of the Kloppenborg textbook (attached).Based on the attached project scenario complete the Project Charter Decision Matrix. The Word document template provided will allow you to click on the desired box to provide an “X” for that selection. After completing the matrix you will provide justification for each of your selections based upon the provided scenario. You will then provide your recommendation of whether “no project charter”, a “mini project charter” or a “full project charter” would be required and why.
The document should be single-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font. The template is already formatted this way so do not change formatting. Complete the entire assignment within the provided template.
Part – 2 – Organizational Structure Analysis
Instructions: Copy and paste your Business Case from Week 2 assignment(Attached filename is week 2 assignment). Analyze the selected project to determine which organizational structure (Section 4-1 from PPT/textbook – attached) would be the ideal or preferred organizational structure for this project. Discuss why you selected this structure and justify that choice through an analysis of the project versus the elements and definitions of the organizational structure as presented in the Kloppenborg text. Then, discuss which structure is the least preferred and explain/justify why this would not be a preferred organizational structure for your selected project providing the same depth of analysis. Provide specific examples, elements or components from the project to explain your justification. Each of the justification sections should be a minimum of 350 words.

Professor Note:
There are two parts to the assignment utilizing different projects.
For Part 1 you will be analyzing the project scenario provided based upon new software implementation for a government agency. You are to click the appropriate check boxes based upon information provided within this scenario. You will then fully explain and justify your selections for each of these checked boxes. You must use information either specifically provided within the scenario or, if not specifically, addressed you will need to use some deductive reasoning to create assumptions about the project. Each of these sections need to provide detailed information providing your specific rational for selections. Full detailed paragraphs are required and a sentence or two will not be sufficient.
For Part 2 you will use your Week 2 assignment(Attached filename is week 2 assignment). There are three (3) organizational structures discussed in Section 4-1(a) of the Kloppenborg text. You will review the advantages and disadvantages of each of these three and identify which of the organizational structures would best be utilized for your project and which one would be least effective. You will need to thoroughly justify your answers based upon the advantages and disadvantages as applied to your project. This is specifically for your project; not the company that is sponsoring the project.
