Welcome to Unit 6, Lesson 1! This unit continues our focus of diverse students, specifically focusing on working with exceptional and linguistically diverse learners.
Objectives:
The students will be able to:
- Identify the characteristics of exceptional learners.
- Analyze the issues surrounding the labeling and stereotyping of students.
- Utilize strategies that promote learning and social acceptance in the classroom.
- Critique and reflect upon in-class behaviors of teachers that either promote or inhibit instruction of students with disabilities in inclusive classrooms..
