In Module 02, we focused on a basic assessment of verbal andnon-verbal communication. Both are important when a client isinteracting with the Human Services Professional and also affect how theHuman Services Professional presents him or herself to clients. For theModule 03 Course Project, you will continue to use the client that youchose in Module 01. The assignment for Module 03 is two-fold:
Part I: Describe how you would set up theenvironmental setting (office setting or a comfortable place for theclient). The environment needs to allow the client to feel supported. The set-up of the environment should also ensure that the client can tofully participate in professional interactions to form the helpingrelationship.
Part II: Open-ended questions allow for clients toelaborate, while close-ended questions are questions that receive asimple one or two-word response. Based upon the scenario for the clientthat you have chosen, develop five open-ended and five close-endedinterview questions that support finding out more information relativeto the clients history and current situation(s).
