Question Description
I’m working on a history multi-part question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
1) What is Taubs main argument in this piece? What points does she bring up to support her argument?
2) Reread the paragraph on page 4 which begins: The way in which technical texts are studied has begun to change. What do you think of studying ancient scientific texts in this way, as true literary texts? How might we bring this kind of reading to our class?
3) Reread the paragraph entitled Defining Greco-Roman on page 7. What is Taub saying about specifically Roman scientists in antiquity?
4) Look up one ancient (NOT modern!) text and/or author mentioned by Taub (preferably one you have never heard of or know little about). Give a brief summary of the ANCIENT author and/or text and genre. Cite your source.
