Part 1 – Novak discusses two types of organizations – Type S and Type F.  Look at the organization you work at and determine if your organization is more Type S or Type F or a little of both.  Provide specific examples of how your organization is consistent with information covered in the text.  

Part 2 – Novak discusses strategies associated with effective teaching broken down into four components – antecedent, active responding, consequences, and setting events.  Select one of the components and discuss a student you worked with where an intervention covered within the text or modification of one was used.  Describe the student, the problem that was faced, what the intervention was, and results.
