Week 2 Spark: Investigating Air Pollution!

COLLAPSE

Hi Everyone!

This week you will read about some of the natural bio-geochemical cycles that underlie the ecosphere, Your primary research-based discussion focuses on understanding how these chemicals and nutrients critical to the life cycle flow through the atmosphere, geosphere, and biosphere, and how humans impact and manage these flows . At the end of the week you have a test that covers all of the interactive readings thus far.

For your spark response post write two or more paragraphs in which you either:

1) Summarize and perhaps expand on one of the subjects covered in Interactive Units 1 or 2 that you found compelling or of particular interest OR

2) Describe one of the ways that humans pollute the air. Some of the most important air pollutants and related phenomenon are listed below. The list also includes some useful references. Investigate one of these ways that human activity pollutes the atmosphere. If you choose to investigate air pollution for your spark post, describe the pollutant and its impact on either environmental or human health. If you notice that one of your colleagues has made a substantive post on a particular pollutant, please consider posting about a different one.

Thanks!
